About
Utumno Salvage Co. is a one-person workshop operation based in Minnesota, USA. We braid, weave, salvage, and refurbish — turning raw cord and retired hardware into gear you can carry, wear, and use.
The name comes from an old story about a creator whose rival could only twist and mar what had already been made — and yet somehow, every twisted strand still wove itself into the greater pattern. We like to think salvaged things work the same way.
Every piece is made by hand in small batches. We're honest about what we are: a growing craft operation, not a factory. Our business philosophy is simple — the world's already full of perfectly good stuff that got thrown away. Someone ought to braid it back together.
